Sparkly things all around

I'm in the middle of  a massive jewelry creating whirlwind. I figure I should take advantage of this boost of creativity, although it does leave me a bit cranky in the mornings. Why cranky? I am  naturally a night owl, and like to work when the sun is fast asleep. My children, however, like to wake up early and demand breakfast as soon as the sun starts peeping its way into the sky. I figure I'll get to pay them back when they are teenagers. Of course, that would require my waking up early to annoy them. I think I might want to rethink my plan.

Suay Gems is my first stop for sparkle

If you want the highest quality gemstones without having to sell any vital organs, you should head over to Suay Gems shop on Etsy. Run by the awesome Jaki, who lives in Bangkok, the gems are mouth watering without breaking the bank. She's super easy to work with, and the shipments are relatively fast (they are coming to me from across the globe). All of my gems have arrived wrapped up nicely in cotton in a mirrored Oriental print fabric covered hard sided box. (Whew! That was a mouthful.) Jaki is my very first stop for all things glittery. I love Etsy....see how it all started

Jill lives in Hawaii and creates seriously cute clay jewelry. I actually own not one, not two, more like a generous baker's 2 dozen cupcakes that Jill has turned into earrings and pendants. She's the reason I found out about Etsy. I was looking for cute cupcake jewelry, and had been disappointed by what I was finding. Then a google search led me to her shop, and I fell in love. I started out slowly, but once I held one of her cupcake earrings I knew I was a goner. It's really quite embarrassing, but I'm secretly quite pleased at the massive stockpile of cupcake jewelry. You never know when you might need a cupcake to dress up your outfit, right? I requested a specific style of cupcake earring, and Jill made them even more fabulous than I had imagined them. (check them out above). She's a sweetie, too. She's sent along little extras with my orders. I guess she figured one more cupcake wasn't going to hurt me. The Lovely Kit Lane

Kit Lane is fabulous, and her little "oddjects" make me smile. I happened upon her shop quite by accident, and messaged her immediately to let her know that I loved one of her peascapes. I couldn't quite justify purchasing a peascape, but COULD justify purchasing prints of her happy little creations. Being extremely wonderful, she sent an extra print with the order. Her attached business card was made by MOO, and an entire side was a picture of her creations. I felt compelled to take it with me everywhere. So, naturally, I convo'd her again. Completely unfazed by my strange request to send out more business cards, she messaged me back and said she would send them out the next morning. Imagine my surprise and elation to find in the mail today an amazing assortment of Kit's business cards AND a print of one of her little guys. Definitely check out her shop, as I am so over the moon about not only her creations, but also her loveliness.
